Nurani Cycle Safari Underway: Mombasa Deputy Governor Francis Thoya and Title Sponsor Abdulghafur Nurani Lead Historic Ride for Education
In a striking display of leadership and endurance, Mombasa Deputy Governor Hon. Francis Thoya and Canadian-based title sponsor Abdulghafur Nurani join elite cyclists on the road from Mombasa to Nairobi to support education and community empowerment.
ON THE ROUTE, KENYA — The Nurani Cycle Safari has officially flagged off, with cyclists taking to the open highway on an inspiring journey connecting the coastal city of Mombasa to Nairobi.
Organized by the Nasserpuria Memon Sports Club (NMSC), the long-distance endurance ride has drawn high-profile leadership onto two wheels—most notably Hon. Francis Thoya, the Deputy Governor of Mombasa County, and Abdulghafur Nurani, the event's title sponsor and primary initiator, who traveled from Canada specifically to participate and drive the campaign forward.
The multi-stage safari is anchored by a noble cause: galvanizing community support, awareness, and fundraising for education, centered around the development of the Nairobi Memon Academy.
Speaking from the road, the presence of senior civic leaders and diaspora visionaries underscores the growing intersection between athletic discipline and social responsibility. Hon. Francis Thoya, a seasoned fitness advocate and public servant, alongside Mr. Nurani, leads a dedicated pack of riders navigating the demanding terrain along the Mombasa–Nairobi corridor.
As the Official Media Partner, Moto Seen Africa is tracking the progress of the safari, bringing boardroom readers, community stakeholders, and international supporters front-row visibility of this historic initiative.
Further updates, route milestones, and stage briefings will continue to be syndicated across Moto Seen Africa’s digital platforms throughout the journey.
