Africa Global Logistics has officially launched an 18,000-square-meter Special Economic Zone in Syokimau, Kenya, marking a notable expansion of regional trade infrastructure. According to Jason Reynard, Regional Managing Director, East Africa, at Africa Global Logistics, the facility is now fully operational following the dedication and expertise of the deployment teams. Situated strategically along Mombasa Road in Syokimau, the newly established logistics hub provides direct access to critical transportation arteries, including the Standard Gauge Railway, the Northern Corridor, and Jomo Kenyatta International Airport.

The newly operational site integrates customs facilitation, bonded and non-bonded storage, value-added services, and multimodal connectivity within a single cohesive logistics ecosystem. Designed specifically to cater to multinationals, regional distributors, and growing e-commerce businesses, the infrastructure aims to accelerate market access, lower landed costs, and enhance supply chain flexibility across East Africa. This development aligns with Kenya's broader Special Economic Zones framework, which is regulated by the Special Economic Zones Act to provide commercial incentives such as tax benefits and duty exemptions for designated zone operators.
