United Asian Network Kicks Off Leadership Summit 3.0 in Nairobi Focusing on Community, Commerce, and AI
Bringing together over 500 business leaders, entrepreneurs, policymakers, and innovators at the Jaffery Islamic Centre in Nairobi, the United Asian Network (UAN) has officially opened its flagship UAN Leadership Summit 3.0. Convened under the theme "Building Tomorrow: Community, Commerce & Artificial Intelligence," the third edition explores how emerging technologies and cross-community trade can drive Kenya’s future economic growth while preserving core entrepreneurial values.
The United Asian Network (UAN) Leadership Summit 3.0 commenced today, September 19, 2026, establishing a major platform for strategic dialogue between Kenya's Asian business ecosystem, policy architects, and global investment networks. Hosted at the Jaffery Islamic Centre (SAAJ) in Lavington, Nairobi, the summit convenes regional enterprise leaders, digital strategists, and public sector voices to examine how artificial intelligence and capital deployment can scale commerce and community resilience.
The opening ceremony featured welcoming addresses from UAN leadership, including Chairman Dr. Bimal Kantaria, Vice Chairman Dr. Amit Thakker, Trustee Ashif Kassam, and CEO Harleen Jabbal. Bringing a global perspective, Chief Guest Rajan Nazran (Founder of the Global Indian Network) highlighted the role of technology in scaling international trade networks and diaspora capital. Keynote addresses delivered by H.E. Amb. Philip Thigo (Special Envoy on Technology and AI) and former Ambassador Prof. Bitange Ndemo focused on integrating artificial intelligence into national enterprise frameworks, policy regulation, and digital workforce readiness.
The summit’s structural agenda spans high-level thematic tracks and practical B2B networking formats:
The Future of Enterprise: Moderated by Absa Kenya Director Seema Dhanani de Souza, featuring insights from Hass Consult Co-CEO Sakina Hassanali on connecting communities through trade, real estate, and investment.
The Intelligent Enterprise: Moderated by IX Africa Data Centre CEO Snehar Shah, focusing on scaling business impact through AI, automation, and next-generation infrastructure alongside tech industry figures like Mitsumi Distribution CEO Mitesh Shah.
"Meet the Experts" Interactive Hubs: A practical format engaging delegates across 10 themed industry tables—spanning manufacturing, banking, healthcare, agriculture, and real estate—led by prominent figures including Sachen Gudka, Dr. Darshan Chandaria, Rashmi Shah, and Dr. Priyanka Chotai.
Why This Matters
For the national economy, UAN Leadership Summit 3.0 serves as an Engine for Cross-Community Trade Integration and a Catalyst for Enterprise AI Adoption. Aligning domestic manufacturing, real estate, and financial platforms with modern artificial intelligence tools accelerates operational efficiency, helping Kenyan mid-tier and family-owned enterprises transition into scalable, competitive regional entities.
From a macroeconomic perspective, the gathering underscores the Sovereignty of Inclusive Capital and Technology COMMAND. Unifying diverse enterprise communities under a single strategic umbrella enables Kenya to leverage its domestic commercial strength, retain high-value digital IP, and attract international diaspora capital on self-directed, sustainable terms.
