Nyle Group has signed a three-year partnership with Pakistan-based Affinity Global and UAE-based Epic Edges Group to build a robust pipeline of trade, business, and investment opportunities linking Pakistani companies with African markets, starting with Ethiopia. The Pakistan Africa Economic Council also joins the arrangement as a signatory. The framework focuses on sectors including healthcare and pharmaceuticals, manufacturing, agriculture, infrastructure, renewable energy, and logistics, aiming to bridge commercial interests between South Asia and the African continent through structured institutional collaboration.

Under the division of responsibilities outlined in the agreement, Addis Ababa headquartered Nyle Group takes charge of identifying viable projects and commercial partners across Africa, while also working alongside local businesses and public institutions to establish relationships and support implementation. Affinity Global assumes responsibility for sourcing Pakistani companies seeking export, expansion, and investment opportunities in the region. Meanwhile, Epic Edges Group will assess proposed projects, providing crucial support for investment structuring, fundraising, transaction coordination, and reviewing commercial, financial, and legal requirements before projects advance to formal investment discussions.

The partnership is deliberately designed to mitigate the operational frictions inherent in cross-border expansion, such as locating reliable local partners, understanding regulatory environments, and preparing initiatives for prospective investors. Kanessa Muluneh of Nyle Group emphasized that the core objective is not merely connecting businesses to new markets, but ensuring that partnerships are structured correctly for successful execution. Proposed investments and transactions will proceed through separate, project-by-project negotiations, operating under an initial three-year term that allows for potential annual renewals upon completion of the foundational period.

    Why This Matters

Establishing structured corridors between South Asian economies and East Africa introduces formal mechanisms to channel foreign capital and industrial expertise into high-priority domestic sectors. By aligning export-seeking enterprises from Pakistan with localized project identification in Ethiopia, the arrangement creates a predictable pathway for industrial scaling. This initiative directly addresses structural bottlenecks in cross-border commerce, specifically the difficulty of vetting commercial partners and aligning international corporate standards with domestic regulatory landscapes across participating jurisdictions.

Operationalizing trade pipelines of this magnitude requires rigorous upfront project preparation, which the inclusion of dedicated structuring and advisory capabilities aims to resolve. By filtering proposals through comprehensive commercial and legal reviews before capital discussions begin, the partnership framework seeks to enhance transaction viability and build long-term confidence among institutional participants. Such cooperative models offer a scalable blueprint for South-South economic engagement, bypassing ad-hoc trade attempts in favor of institutionalized, sector-specific expansion strategies.
