Zoho and KNCCI Forge Strategic Digital Alliance to Accelerate Kenyan SME Growth
Global technology firm Zoho has partnered with the Kenya National Chamber of Commerce and Industry to drive digital transformation among local enterprises. The collaboration provides eligible members with software credits, training, and onboarding support to boost productivity across multiple industry sectors.
Global technology company Zoho has announced a strategic partnership with the Kenya National Chamber of Commerce and Industry to accelerate the digital transformation of small and medium enterprises across the country. Unveiled on July 23, 2026, during the Zoholics Kenya annual user conference in Nairobi, the initiative provides eligible chamber members with software credits worth Ksh65,000. The package includes dedicated onboarding support, product training, and digital skills development programmes designed to reduce barriers to technology adoption and enhance long term business competitiveness.
The collaboration reflects Zoho’s deepening footprint in East Africa, anchored by a trans-national localism strategy. According to Premanand Velumani, Associate Director of Strategic Growth for Zoho MEA, the firm aims to build self-sufficient economic clusters by remaining locally rooted while leveraging global connectivity. Veerakumar Natarajan, Zoho country head for Kenya, noted that the market is experiencing rapid expansion, reporting 55 per cent revenue growth. This upward trajectory is fuelled by rising demand for unified, AI enabled business solutions across sectors such as IT, financial services, manufacturing, insurance, and telecommunications.
Dr James Mwaura, KNCCI Nairobi Chairman, emphasized that the alliance grants members access to world class business technology alongside the operational support required for effective integration. Through joint awareness campaigns, workshops, and educational initiatives, both organisations intend to foster sustainable enterprise growth. Zoho’s widely utilised product suite in the region includes Zoho One, Workplace, CRM Plus, and Books, which collectively manage core administrative, financial, and customer relationship operations for growing Kenyan businesses.
Why This Matters
Digital enablement for small and medium enterprises serves as a fundamental pillar for broader economic resilience across East Africa. By reducing upfront financial hurdles through software credits, initiatives of this scale lower the friction associated with enterprise software adoption. This operational shift allows smaller commercial entities to integrate advanced accounting, customer relationship management, and collaborative tools into their daily workflows, directly influencing their capacity to scale and participate in regional trade networks.
The integration of artificial intelligence and unified cloud architectures into domestic commerce underscores a broader structural shift within emerging African markets. As businesses navigate evolving regulatory and operational environments, access to secure, scalable digital infrastructure becomes essential. Localized partnerships ensure that technology deployment aligns with regional economic realities, fostering self-sustaining commercial clusters that can withstand macroeconomic volatility and currency fluctuations.
